The Alps will be affected by northerly winds at high altitudes. Conditions will be better on the southern side.
Along the main Alpine ridge, particularly east of the Brenner Pass, there will be light snowfall at times. Further south, conditions will improve with north foehn, and the sun will initially shine widely; in the afternoon, only a few harmless clouds will drift across the sky.
Light snowfall is still expected along the eastern main Alpine ridge. Away from this area, a northerly wind will break up the cloud cover, and it will often be sunny, particularly in the south-western mountain ranges.

The day will be partly cloudy. Longer sunny spells are expected further west, with more clouds in the Dolomites. An easterly wind will pick up in the upper Puster Valley.
Thursday promises plenty of sunshine and the sky will be mostly clear. On Friday, it will remain sunny, with just a few harmless clouds. Saturday will be cloudy, with light precipitation in places as the day progresses. On Sunday, the weather will continue to be a mix of sun and clouds.
