Mediterranean climate and more than 300 sunny days
One of the driest valleys of the Alps is the Vinschgau in the
western part of South Tyrol. The unique climate, many sunny
days and the centuries old system of the irrigation by the
Waale whose water is distributed by the surrounding glaciers
make this valley to one of the most interesting landscapes
of South Tyrol.
The
surrounding mountains protect the Vinschgau for bad weather
very well.
