Martelltal - Lifialm
|
| Route description |
We drive by car or public service bus into the beautiful
Martelltal (Tal = valley) to a place called Gand. Here,
there is a crossroads; to the right will lead us to the
village of Martell and straight ahead deep into the Martelltal.
We
drive straight ahead past the tiny church of St. Maria
in der Schmelz and the turquoise-blue reservoir to the
end of the valley. This is where our walk begins. We follow
the signposts to Lifialm (Alm = alpine pasture). When we
arrive here we allow ourselves a short break. On the way
back we take the same route.
Tip:
For those who like more of a challenge, you can start the
walk earlier at the Zufritt Inn directly after the dam
wall and follow the signposts to Lifialm.
